Everything is Fragile
In 2007 alone, about 9 billion tons of goods worth over $8.4 trillion were shipped via truck in the United States. By some estimates, the global financial impact of cargo loss, from things like damage and accidents, exceeds $50 billion a year. Therefore, it’s no surprise that companies take so much care in protecting their cargo as it travels over the world’s roads and highways.
However, not all loads are created equal. While every piece of inventory is equally important to the person who sends, delivers, and receives it, the level of care needed varies from load to load. Things like toilet paper and coal do not need the same level of TLC as would glass bottles or high-end electronics. At Save-A-Load®, we created our heavy-duty IQ Load Bars with the express purpose of protecting every type of cargo under the sun, even those that need extra attention. Here are a couple examples of sensitive cargoes that Save-A-Load® Bars protect every day.
Eggs
In 2010, over 124 million cases of eggs were sent to the retailers across the US (that’s around 44,640,000,000 eggs!) Seeing how hard it is to get eggs from the fridge to the counter without breaking them, you can just imagine the kind of care it takes to deliver 44 billion of them. Some of the leading egg manufactures rely solely on Save-A-Load® to make sure that their products don’t become scrambled prematurely.
Wine
Who doesn’t enjoy a nice glass of wine every now and then? Well, it turns out that in 2010 alone each U.S. resident consumed 2.54 gallons. That’s a lot of vino, and seeing that not everyone can afford to take a trip to Napa, most of that wine needed to be shipped. One of our customers in the high-end wine business told us that our load bars take the worry out of shipping $4,000 cases of wine across the world!
Of course, not all of your cargoes are as easily damaged as eggs and bottles of wine, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be treated as such. Losing any cargo, will not only hit your bottom line, but it will also damage your reputation. So, there is no reason to take chances with inferior load bars. At Save-A-Load®, we designed our load bars to protect anything and everything you ship like it was the most fragile thing in the world. Now that’s something to raise a glass to!
